Pay rate: 25/hr - 26/hr

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly reliable, dependable and detail-oriented Part-time Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the accounts payable & receivable processes, and executing reconciliations and QBO clean-up. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, and the ability to work independently and efficiently. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
What You’ll Do:
General Accounting Duties & Responsibilities:
- Record and categorize daily transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including application of payments
- Support QBO clean-up and data accuracy initiatives
- Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
- Perform general ledger and account reconciliations
- Prepare recurring journal entries
- Assist with collections by contacting customers, tracking aging reports, and following up on outstanding invoices
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors or clients
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
- Performs other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need:
- B.A., B.S., or associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
- Minimum of three or more years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., sorting, filters, formulas, basic functions)
- Experience with Bill.com is a plus
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, collections and application of payments
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles (e.g., accruals, journal entries)
- Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Willingness to cross-train on additional accounting tasks and support broader team needs
- Eagerness to learn and cross-train on additional accounting tasks
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
