Job Summary: We are seeking a highly dependable. motivated, and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. This individual will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist in the month-end close process, and help ensure financial accuracy and compliance across all reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive attitude toward learning and cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do:
General Accounting Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) processing, including application of payments and collections
- Record bank and credit card transactions promptly and accurately
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation entries
- Track prepaid expenses and record amortization
- Maintain ASC 842 lease accounting schedules
- Reconcile AR aging reports to the general ledger
- Support the month-end close process and ensure adherence to accounting procedures
- Prepare recurring journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
- Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry of financial transactions
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors as needed
- Willingness to cross-train and support other accounting functions as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need:
- B.A. or B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
- Minimum of three to four years of accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Detail oriented mindset
- Ability to to take initiative and a respond to colleagues in a timely manner
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
